Principles of Accounting

Let’s look into the Principles of Accounting. It is important to be able to speak and understand the finance language in all businesses.
Financial Accounting is often called the language of business; it is the necessary language that managers use to communicate the firm’s/business’s financial and economic information to external parties such as shareholders, banking personnel and creditors. No one can afford financial illiteracy. Whether you run your own business, work as a manager, running a household or are just starting your career, you want to understand financial information and be able to interact effectively with accountants, comptrollers, and financial managers. You want to be able to talk about business and how it flows!

This course will provide you with a base understanding of the financial accounting functions. Upon completion, you should be able to read and interpret financial statements for business diagnosis and decision-making for many positions in the workplace and be prepared for higher learning in this field. More importantly, you will possess the conceptual base to keep learning more sophisticated accounting and finance on your own. Do not forget that, as with any other language, becoming proficient with accounting requires consistent practice.
